01. Project Background
While working as a Brand Designer at SITA, I played a pivotal role in the rebranding implementation, one of the most significant projects I contributed to. I helped to further define the visual language and brand tone of voice, utilizing my expertise in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Figma. My work involved designing templates for social media posts, infographics, icons, charts, diagrams, presentation slides, and promotional merchandise. Additionally, I collaborated with the team to establish and manage our brand library, which houses all design assets such as typefaces, logos, images, and templates.
The outcome was a more agile, friendly, innovative, and cohesive brand, marked by significant improvements in brand recognition and design consistency. This comprehensive rebranding effort not only enhanced the visual identity of SITA, but also showcased its entrepreneurial mindset, bringing pioneering solutions at speed and transforming the travel and transport industry at scale.
02. Brand Tone & Vision
SITA is a multinational IT company providing telecommunication services to the air transport industry. Its global footprint and industry connections uniquely position it to deliver pioneering solutions quickly, transforming the travel and transport sector at scale. To showcase SITA's entrepreneurial mindset and its commitment to the industry and passengers, the new brand identity translates its updated platform into a distinctive visual expression. This flexible system reflects SITA's three personality traits: human, innovative, and vibrant.
HUMAN
Open, friendly, collaborative
INNOVATIVE
Smart, at the forefront, pioneering
VIBRANT
Curious, passionate, agile

03. Brand Colors & Typography
Brand Colors:
The new SITA brand features a vibrant and diverse color palette, balancing equity and trust with vibrancy and innovation. The primary palette is corporate and mature, elegantly conveying trust. The secondary palette is vibrant, balancing equity with a sense of innovation. Intermediary black tones can be used for UI and hierarchy needs.

Typography:
The new SITA identity utilizes two distinct typefaces. The primary font conveys technicity and friendly innovation, while the secondary font offers solidity and readability for titles, body texts, and UI elements.

04. Design Showcase
1. Social Media Templates
One of the rebranding projects I worked on was to design templates for social media posts and thumbnails for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. I focused on margins, logo placement, and content positioning, selecting on-brand images to convey the desired message effectively.

2. Charts, Diagrams and Infographics Templates
I created templates for charts, diagrams, and infographics. The charts and infographics serve as the style guide for data and information visualization in SITA's annual reports, and the diagram illustrates passenger and baggage journeys at the airport.

3. Icon Designs
The SITA brand features a family of custom icons designed to represent its products and services in the air transport industry. These icons align with SITA's primary typeface and reflect its characteristics. The primary set identifies solutions, while the secondary set is used for UI/UX purposes. Solution icons are simple and synthetic, serving as visual identifiers in communications. UX icons are clean and easily understood, designed for interfaces rather than communication. These icons help connect SITA's vision to the concrete solutions offered in the sector.

4. Merchandise Designs
Mockups for various travel-related merchandise for SITA, including earplugs, eye masks, luggage tags, travel pillows, and more. My primary focus was to ensure these products were sustainable and innovative, reflecting SITA's commitment to environmental responsibility and cutting-edge solutions.

5. Battle Card & Use Case PPT Templates
I designed battle card and use case PPT templates to showcase SITA's products and services to external clients effectively. These templates were created to provide a clear, professional, and visually appealing format for presenting key information.

05. Other Designs
Besides the brand implementations, I also managed regular design requests for internal and external clients, creating posters, brochures, email banners, roll-up banners, web banners and email signature badges. In addition to static graphic design, I produced short animations and corporate videos showcasing SITA's services and products to both internal and external clients.

06. Brand Library Development & Management
Lastly, I was also responsible for establishing and managing the brand library at SITA. We used a brand management platform called Frontify, and the SITA brand library houses all our design assets and resources like brand guidelines, logos, icons, images, videos, templates, etc. I also developed automation features that allowed internal clients to download images in various sizes, access icons in different formats and colours, and even create their own email banners. These enhancements streamlined the production process, enabling the team to focus on more complex and high-priority projects.
